Exciting news!

For some time now, there have been rumors that Amazon is planning to enter the Polish market. Now it is official – local shoppers will no longer have to order via the German platform and retailers can profit significantly.

After the announcement was made, the shares of local rival Allegro, the current leading e-Commerce platform in Poland, went down. To be able to keep up with the e-Commerce giant Amazon, Allegro will probably have to switch to giving their users the service of free delivery.

The platform, which also operates in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia, has over 16 million users, making it a very attractive platform for sellers, but also for buyers. It will be Amazon’s 19th global marketplace.
