What do we know about the sales development in the main category “Drugstore”?

When you think of drugstore items, it’s most likely that body care products come to your mind. But on Amazon, those belong to the category “Beauty” rather than to “Drugstore”.

2019 showed a relatively stable demand with a slight increase on Prime Day and Cyber Week. When the pandemic started, sales decreased due to Amazon restrictions but 2020 still showed a yoy growth of 25%. In 2021 the yoy growth was 19% and taking a look at 2022 there’s a small growth of 3% yoy compared to 2021 so far.
